The tab area (the main white page) is where you create your tab. At its simplest, creating a new tab just means entering fret numbers on the appropriate strings. The musical notation above is then automatically generated.

Once you have created a note you can add articulations (bends, slides, hammer-ons, etc) or otherwise modify the note.

These modifications are made via the note menu. The beat to which a note belongs can be modified via the beat menu. The measure to which a beat belongs can be modified via the measure menu.

The top of the page contains all controls to manage your tab. Note that the controls in the beat, measure, and note menus are only available when a relevant item is selected. See the tab sections on beats, measures, and notes for information on selecting each.
